Sales Specialist Data Protection Management Software

Sales Specialist - EMC Data Protection Management Software, Northeast Enterprise Accounts EMC Corporation has a current opening for a Sales Specialist for EMC data protection management software, who has the skills and motivation to execute and over-achieve on a high-growth business opportunity. This sales professional will be responsible for selling and executing on the revenue and business plan at a divisional level for the EMC Data Protection Advisor product family. EMC Data Protection Advisor (DPA) collects, monitors, analyzes, and reports on information from our customers entire data protection infrastructure, providing a Unified data protection management window across their entire backup and EMC replication investment; accelerating access to information, saving time and money, allowing faster decisions, and improving data protection. Through support for heterogeneous backup infrastructures including EMC Backup Solutions and support for all EMC Replication Solutions, DPA reduces the cost and risk to manage a data protection environment, enabling our customers to get more from their existing investments and increase efficiency. Job Responsibilities:

Meet or exceed the quarterly revenue plan for DPA within your assigned divisional coverage.

Develop and own the DPA business plan covering all aspects of the DPA GTM for your assigned division; training, programs, opportunity generation - working both with other EMC sales teams and independently.

Be able to drive independently and/or support with other EMC sales teams, DPA sales campaigns with end-user customers from start to finish.

Have a deep understanding and be able to clearly articulate and represent to customers and other EMC sales teams, DPA's value proposition across multiple use-cases; including Back-up, Replication, and File Server environments.

Establish yourself as the DPA evangelist within your assigned division.

Be able to effectively develop and present ROI/TCO justification for DPA.

Own or support the development of DPA proposals and responses to formal RFP's, etc.

Posses expertise around structuring large software deals.

Drive training and programs to enable EMC's Core and other Specialist sales organizations within your assigned division, and EMC channel partners, to develop DPA champions and scale your business to continue to support aggressive DPA revenue growth.

Work closely with other EMC sales teams on the DPA opportunity pipeline and share and compare information on both sides to develop new DPA opportunities.

Participate in team meetings and business review sessions with other EMC sales teams within your division to drive the DPA business opportunity.

Report regularly to DPA sales management on the quarterly business sales forecast and the key activities you are driving in the division.

Manage effective working relationships with EMC technical resources including DPA Sales TC's and the greater EMC Technical Solutions group.

Be able to work positively with all EMC cross-functional groups as needed, with the spirit of cooperation and teamwork, to establish a positive work environment and support the business plan objectives.

Be able to travel as needed to support the execution of the divisional DPA business plan.
Qualifications:

A minimum of 8+ years of technology sales experience - including experience selling core storage platforms (NAS, SAN), software, and replication, and/or backup applications and platforms.

Experience selling software management tools is highly desired.

Experience in structuring and closing seven-figure software deals.

A demonstratable track record of sales success and over achieving sales goals.

Knowledge of EMC's overall product portfolio, and experience selling within EMC's Direct, Matrix and/or Indirect sales organizations is a plus.

Excellent presentation skills to groups and ability to communicate at the executive level.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated career stability.

Ability to travel for business as needed.
