Associate System Administrator

Associate Sys Admin/Lab tech Role
Job Location: Santa Clara, CA
Responsibilities:
* High Level: Support the needs of the engineering community as a member of the lab team
* Rack and stack (installation) of servers and appliances
* Coordinate and execute on equipment moves within the lab
* Cable up disk shelves and servers
* Install PCI and other expansion Cards
* Troubleshoot/Break-fix server and storage hardware from a variety of manufacturers (EMC, DD, HP, SUN, Supermicro, etc)
* Run and patch Fiber and Ethernet cabling
* Install Operating Systems
* Upgrade firmware and BIOS
* Configure KVM and Serial Console servers
* Configure basic Cisco network switches
* Install KVM consoles

Qualifications:
* BA/BS or equivalent technical experience.
* Extensive experience with server installation (rack and stack), Cabling,
* Experience with HW maintenance, RMA, replacement
* Handles internal customer support issues
* Must be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic lab with accurate productivity
* Must be a problem solver
* Self-starter and able to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment
* Must be able to deliver on measurable objectives
* Be able to lift heavy equipment (~60 lbs) from box to shelf or rack
